Founded in 1998 by head coach Duncan Stewart, The Parks Judo Club caters for every age and ability, from the recreational keep-fit player to international competitors. Our players have represented club and country at European Championships, Junior Olympics, and National Championships, and our junior programme is busy week in, week out.

A fun introduction to judo for our youngest players. We work on balance and co-ordination in a relaxed atmosphere, introducing the FUNdamentals while making new friends and building confidence.

Builds on the Tots programme — balance and co-ordination plus more judo skills, including basic breakfalls and an introduction to throws. Great for discipline, confidence and friendships.

For competitive and recreational players alike. We build skill base and fitness, introducing competition for those keen on the competitive side, while offering tailored instruction to those treating it as a more social pursuit.

For the 14+ player. We build a strong base covering movement and gripping patterns, introducing armlocks and strangles to the programme. A fantastic workout and a great way to meet new people.

For our junior and senior players who need additional strength and conditioning. Loosely based on the CrossFit model, Battlefit builds stamina, endurance and flexibility to keep your body in tip-top shape. Initially by invitation, the programme will continue to expand.
